Craig Buchanan Shields veteran of the Civil War and 21 year janitor of the High Street school building died at his York street home at 1 45 pm Wednesday from tuberculosis after years of declining health He served in Cole's Cavalry for two years and nine months and belonged to Corporal Skelly Post 9 G A R He leaves wife Mary Agnes McCleary and children Zora George Bessie Jane Edna and two sisters.

Rev. McClain Davis, a Gettysburg College graduate and former Gettysburg Theological Seminary student, died at 11 40 p m in Presbyterian Hospital Philadelphia after pneumonia followed a carbuncle. He served East Lansdowne Lutheran church and taught Sunday School in Williamsport. He leaves his mother wife Miss Wester Pisher of Montoursville and three brothers.

Davin Trimmer died at his home in Taneytown Saturday evening at 10:20 from the effects of a paralytic stroke last Wednesday. He was 73 years, 5 months and 14 days old. Son of the late Isaac and Elizabeth Trimmer of East Berlin, he leaves a widow Miss Jane Toms of Creagerstown and several children including Mrs Lillie Hess, Mrs William Boutson, Mrs Ella Wilhem, Lawrence Trimmer, Mrs John Wolf, Mrs Augustus Pichler, David Trimmer, and Mrs Norman Reever, of whom many reside in Hanover and Chicago.
