Longtime Franklin County Judge D. Watson Rowe Dies
D. Watson Rowe former President Judge of Franklin County Courts died in Chambersburg on Tuesday at age 77. A Civil War veteran, he served as Colonel Rowe and later became judge of the sixteenth district and then president judge of the thirty ninth district. He retired in 1889 after twenty one years on the bench and resumed practice until ill health. Funeral services set for Thursday at 1 30 PM with interment in Greencastle.
