Farm Sale Near Waldheim Sets New Lancaster County Record
A 52 acre farm along the New Oxford to Hampton road near Waldheim in Hamilton township sold for 180 dollars to Maurice E. Schwartz of Bainbridge Lancaster County. Schwartz plans to move April 1 1910. Vincent Eckenrode collapsed from heat while harvesting and was rushed to Mesherrystown for treatment. Charles Noel faced assault and battery charges and was jailed until law discharge.

Wreck Cleared After Marathon Track Work
After thirty six hours of hard work crews opened the track at the wreck scene late Sunday evening. Wrecked cars were removed promptly and the track repaired immediately to resume operations.
Englishmen on Long Hike From Los Angeles to New York
Two young English walkers traveling from Los Angeles to New York City announced a 160 day Atlantic to Pacific crossing. They average 25 miles daily, sell 10 cent postcards for expenses, collect postmarks and governor signatures to prove the route, and expect arrival in New York on July 24.

Birthday Card joy for Berwick township elder
On July 11 Abraham H. Thoman of Berwick township near Abbottstown celebrated his 67th birthday receiving 171 cards from friends and relatives across the country. Despite his advanced age of 87 he remains in excellent health with full mental clarity and active in business affairs. He thanks well-wishers for the thoughtful tokens. John Stevens of Butler township was badly hurt in a barn accident while pulling hay from a wagon with a fork. A rope broke causing a fall injuring his hand wrist and face with bruises and shock. he can walk but remains in pain.

Veterans Reunion of Company K Pennsylvanians at Gettysburg
On Wednesday a group of Pennsylvania Reserve veterans from Company K met in their hometown and visited Gettysburg. Attendees included Capt. They toured the Round Tops and Wheat Field recalling battles from 1861 to 1864 and bid farewell amid tears as they remembered fallen comrades.

Overcome by heat on Baltimore street injures driver
