Dr. David Stewart of Sharon died at Harrisburg hospital from heart failure after a July 4 fall at the railroad station that fractured his hip. A Civil War veteran, he attended Gettysburg’s fiftieth reunion and served in the Army of the Potomac. He led Sharon’s Grand Army post for six years.

James A. Weikert of New Oxford died at his home after a lingering illness at three o clock Thursday morning from a complication of diseases. He was 71 and a Civil War veteran. He leaves a wife and several children including Mrs E J Triber and Mrs Eva Klinger of New Oxford, Edward and Luther Weikert of Waynesboro, Elmer Weikert of California, and a brother David Weikert of Greenmount. Funeral is set for Saturday at ten o'clock with Rev. C W Baker officiating. Interment will be at New Oxford.
