Ice Cream Thieves Take Picnic Treat Near McAllister’s Dam
During a Wednesday picnic by McAllister’s Dam the Bream and Blocher families lost a half gallon ice cream freezer. Early Thursday the empty can was found where two young boys had taken the dessert, ending a lighthearted hunt for the missing treat.

Gay White Way lights up Gettysburg with new signage

Horse trade dispute ends in favor of defendant
In a Thursday hearing before Squire Hill, George Rauscher of Table Rock sued Jerome Hemler of Gettysburg over a farm horse swap. Judge ruled for Hemler at $100, finding the gray mare misrepresented by Hemler and valuing the exchange as a $100 difference.

Reform ed Reunion At Pen Mar Draws Large Attendance
On Thursday July 15, thousands of Reformed church members from Southern Pennsylvania Maryland West Virginia Virginia and District of Columbia will attend the fifteenth annual reunion at Pen Mar. Weather permitting this may be among the largest gatherings in the church’s history with at least 3,000 pledging to attend.
