Loyal Temperance Legion Convention Opens in Gettysburg
The eighteenth annual Pensylvania Loyal Temperance Legion session began Monday evening at College Lutheran Church with speeches by George Frederick of New York City and Dr. Charles Wesley Burns of Philadelphia on temperance gains, education, and the Gettysburg comparison. The gathering, with 28 counties represented, featured committees, a grand gold medal contest, the Mite Society meal, and a moonlit trolley ride after a full program of songs, yells, and speeches.

Wedding at Trostel Home Unites Anna Trostel and Robert Fox
The York Springs home of Hon. and Mrs. George H. Trostel hosted a noon Tuesday wedding for their daughter Miss Anna Trostel and Robert Fox, a Philadelphia insurance man. Rev. Stanley Billheimer officiated as lilies daisies and palms decorated the house. The bride wore white with car nations. Miss Stella Trostel attended with red and white roses. George M. Trostel served as groom’s escort. Mrs Ammond played the wedding march. Matthews of Gettysburg catered the reception and dinner. The couple left for Harrisburg by auto and will reside in Philadelphia after a wedding tour.

Distinguished Visitors Gather in Gettysburg Visit
Lieut Col J A Watrous U S Army retired of Milwaukee and son Richard B Watrous secretary of the American Civic Association spend several days in Gettysburg. He recalls a first visit forty years ago as business and sentimentless. this trip carries more sentiment. Watrous served in the South Wisconsin Brigade and ENtered the army in Ireland, later serving in the Spanish American War on staffs of Generals Bates Hughes and Wade before retiring as lieutenant colonel.

Motorcycle accident injures rider near Monterey golf club
A motorcycle rider from Blue Ridge Summit rode fast along Monterey Avenue Tuesday morning and lost control. The machine ditched opposite the golf club house, throwing him to the ground where he suffered a deep leg gash and profuse bleeding. C B Keferstein carried him to a physician for treatment.

Death of Miss Annie Hennig at 32 in Washington
Miss Annie Hennig died Monday evening at eight in Washington aged 32. She is survived by her parents Mr and Mrs P F Hennig, one brother W A Hennig of York Street, and three sisters Mrs Frank Tate, Mrs Charles A McIlhenny, and Miss Hattie Hennig, all of Washington. The body was brought to Gettysburg on the Western Maryland Wednesday evening and interred at Evergreen Cemetery after arrival. Dr J A Clutz conducted the services at the cemetery.
