Railroad fined for explosives act violation in Maryland
The Emmitsburg Railroad pleaded guilty on Tuesday to violating the Explosives Act of 1908 by carrying dynamite improperly crated and was fined 100 dollars. The action was brought by the Interstate Commerce Commission at the Federal Grand Jury’s instance in Maryland. Guests at the home of Dr. and Mrs. J. W. Richards on Seminary Ridge include Mrs. H Bucklin of Chicago Mrs. O C Hill of Elkhart Indiana and Mrs. William Trentiss of Lima Indiana.
