Mrs Eliza A Thomas Dies In Lemoyne At 31
Mrs Eliza A Thomas aged 31 died at her home in Lemoyne on Thursday evening and was buried Sunday afternoon in St John’s Cemetery Shiremanstown with Rev H J Dudley officiating. Born in East Berlin she moved to Shepherdstown at 18 and later married George Thomas. Widowed in 1863 she had lived in Lemoyne eleven years. She was among the town’s oldest residents, surpassed only by Mrs Susan Bowman at 88.

Col Mullin Leader in Mt Holly Paper Industry Dies
Col C H Mullin treasurer and manager of Mt Holly Paper Company died at his home after a nine day illness. A Cumberland County native born in Mt Holly in 1833, he helped grow the town and industry. He served as Sunday school superintendent for 40 years and attended eight national Republican conventions, last in 1908 for Taft. He sat on the electoral college and as a county congressional conferee with wide national ties.

Dry Springs Affect Graffenburg Inn Area Waters
The Graffenburg Springs near the Graffenburg Inn have run dry, a condition not seen before by long time resident John Hessler. Miss Mary Withers owns the inn, while Misses Dock on the Forestry Commission reserve report nearly all reserve springs dry, forcing use of Conococheague Creek water for domestic needs.
