JOAN ROOT Jobo Root president of Thurmont National Bank Thurmont Frederick county died suddenly Monday morning at his home after breakfast while seated and looking from a window. Death due to heart failure. Native of Frederick county he founded the Pen Mar creamery and helped establish the Mechanicstown Water Co. He had led Thurmont National Bank since 1904 and was an Odd Fellow and Lutheran. He was a widower for a few months.
