A Norwalk car driven by Samuel White struck a motorcycle ten miles below Winchester injuring rider Allison Kline. Kline, 25, suffered a broken hip and bruises, later sent home. A second rider, Ward Alleman Hart, descending State road near Spring Grove, crashed into guard rails after brake failure, sustaining facial wounds and a deep ankle laceration. his bike destroyed and he was taken home by Baltimore motorists.

Francis Schriver Taken by Death in Harrisburg
Francis R. Schriver died Wednesday afternoon at his York street home from a lingering apoplexy after a Thursday morning attack at L M Reynolds store on Carlisle street. He was 51 years old and is survived by his wife Alice Little, daughter Elizabeth, two sisters, and previously lost two children. He was a deacon in the Reformed church and a member of Gettys Lodge, Odd Fellows, and Modern Woodmen of America. Funeral services were held at the Reformed church Friday at two o'clock.

Youth Too Much for His Father at Abbottstown Orphanage
Ellis Staub, 10, son of Harry Staub of McSherrystown, ran away from the Abbottstown Protectory for a second time to return home. After being placed in the Abbottstown orphanage with his younger brother Rodney, he fled again, walking from Abbottstown toward Hanover and McSherrystown, aided by a farmer who gave him a ride to New Baltimore. He reached home around 5:30 pm, just before his father arrived, and was later returned to the school.
