Killed in York: Harry E R Ford of Gettysburg dies in rail wreck
Harry ER Ford of Hanover, yard foreman at Western Maryland yards in York, was killed Wednesday morning when a car derailed on a siding near Sandusky Portland Cement Works. He was riding the rear step, a crash demolished a wall, released boiling water from pipes, and he died in an York ambulance en route to Beaver Street Hospital. He was 46, survived by wife and several children, mother, and sisters and brothers.
