Farmers Plan Tour to Stillwater and Area

More than 20 farmers and business men plan a four day tour to the A and M college at Stillwater April 24 25 and 26. They will visit farms between Stilwell Muskogee and Tulsa with meals hosted by the Muskogee and Tulsa Chambers of Commerce and end by visiting Miller Bros 10 Ranch on the return Friday.

Bull Association Progress in Adair County Plans and Tests

County agent Harry B. Hayman says three bull association circles are forming in the north end of Adair County. Herd testing for tuberculosis and contagious abortion begins as veterinarians test Strauss and Brewer farms. The program requires all herds using association bulls to be tested to prevent disease, warning that a clean herd cannot risk disease from an untested one.

Highway engineer dies after stray bullet in Evansville

R G Phillips age 49 of Fayetteville, a highway department foreman, died at Poynor hospital from a gunshot wound suffered while seated at a friend's porch during a party. Oren Ross, Evansville youth, 21, is being sought by Sheriff Walker. The weapon was a 32 caliber revolver and the bullet reportedly struck Phillips in the stomach.

Farm Plans For Adair County Discussed at Agri Meet

More than fifty present at Westville luncheon gathered for the County Agricultural Advisory board meeting to discuss Adair county farm plans.
