Merritt Draws 20-Year Term for Bank Holdup
Oklahoma City reports Charles A. Merritt, 20, convicted of involvement in a $75,000 bank messenger heist on a downtown street three years ago. A jury deliberated 18 minutes, sentencing Merritt to 20 years in prison. Two other participants, Russell Gibson and James Hayes, remain at large as witnesses testified against them. Bloodhounds Used in Search for Missing Ozarks Boy
Bloodhounds were used today in the search for the infant son of Mr and Mrs Jim Anderson near Shawnee Bend on the Lake of the Ozarks Missouri. The child has been missing since late yesterday and a toy book was found about 200 yards from the lake. Residents fear a fall into the lake while parents believe the boy merely strayed.

Legion endorses immediate soldier bonus payment

College Band To Highway 48 Meet
