J W Swacker a respected Noble county farmer living fourteen miles north of Perry died after choking on a cracker at home Monday night. The 60 year old Oklahoma early settler had recently moved to Bedrock valley where he resided since the strip opened.
Local report notes Durant will gain a new post office structure. Other items mention ri a s belief in Doll evils, the Lew Christian Church cornerstore at Chickasha, and several legal cases across Hartshorne Coalgate Muskogee and nearby towns.

Muskogee Sept. 21 A. J. Shoenfelt says payments of Choctaw Chickasaw townsite funds begin Sept. 27 for enrolled Chickasaw Indians freemen excluded with Interior approval. Each person receives 40 dollars. Guardian and administration letters from the U S District Court are recognized. Payments proceed by checks in listed towns both in Indian Territory and Choctaw Nation including Atoka South McAlester Durant Boswell Hugo Tarvin Smithville Tuskahoma Wister Red Oak Kinta Spiro.
Judge thecxerson's fine was taken up Thursday in the James R. Williams murder case. Forty one witnesses were examined and the case was hard fought by counsel on both sides. At noon the last witness was examined and the attorneys began the argument.
Washington Sept. 22 Acting Secretary of the Interior Ryan issued a sweeping rule to govern sale proceeds of inherited Indian lands. Proceeds must be deposited to the credit of each heir at a convenient U.S. depository with checks for monthly amounts up to 10 dollars needing guardian or agent approval. Sums over 10 dollars require agent approval or commissioner permission. The change aims to prevent theft or mismanagement of funds previously paid directly to Indians who then lost the money.
A pair of seven month old bloodhounds trialed in man hunting by W. J. Heady of Francis. A boy with a half hour head start led the chase near the railroad, the dogs bayed in a gulch and bayed the fugitive to a tree. Bishop David H. Moore visits Indian Territory to inspect prospects for a Methodist conference in October and to advise on forming a mission conference with the general board of missions in Boston.
A Tuesday U S court session covered murder cases in Clint Palmer and James R Williams matters with verdicts of not guilty on Palmer and transfers, bonds, and sentences in other cases. The docket included juror commissions, divorces, receivere orders, and a decree for Dora Henderson. Public notices for local education and employment followed.
A severe electrical storm struck a Texas Company refinery tank killing five men and injuring another as six workers were atop the tank roofing it with tar and shells. The blast sent the top of the tank into the air and hindered rescue efforts as crews tried to recover bodies amid flames and smoke.

C I Dick of Muskogee Oklahoma Territory was fined one dollar and costs after pleading guilty to criminal libel in a second trial in Fort Gibson. The case involved language about Holden in a Fort Gibson newspaper. The trial marked the first criminal libel prosecution in the Indian Territory. The defendant and the prosecuting witness J S Fielden operated newspapers in Fort Gibson.
Secretary of the Interior orders the Loyal Creek payment to begin October first. About $500,000 will be disbursed in the Creek Nation as full settlement for Creeks who joined the Union during the war and faced loss of property and stock while away from home in Indian Territory. Disbursement at the Indian agent's Office in Muskogee follows a year long effort to prepare a roll of eligible beneficiaries.

The United States Citizenship Court sitting in Tishomingo has issued opinions denying citizenship to many claimants in the Chickasaw and Choctaw Nations. The court overturned several federal court judgments that admitted people to tribal estates, affecting hundreds holding land who expected favorable action and will now vacate allotments.
