Pumpkin Weather Blooms As County Free Fair Opens Here
The 46th Pontotoc County Free Fair opened at the county fairgrounds with the Cherokee Amusement Company setting up midway rides at sunrise. By 9 a m Thursday 300 entries had been received as 4H booths and exhibits prepared. County agent Si Hailey noted rising beef interest and strong participation, with judging to begin at 1 p m Thursday. Continued on Page Two.
