The Oklahoma Light and Power division of Oklahoma Gas and Electric reports rapid progress on a 138000 volt supply line to the Cromwell oil fields centered at Cromwell. Construction began two weeks ago with an estimated 30 day timeline. The Cromwell line extends from Wewoka where voltage from the Byng plant will rise from 33000 to 60000 volts to feed the Cromwell fields. The Ada division oversees authorization and supervision of the project.

G S Curlee a meat cutter at Rains Grocery in Breco attempted suicide by two pistol shots to the chest.
