Smart Teacher Traps Goat Thief In Coal Theft Case
Oklahoma City sept 6 UP Ingenuity of a woman school teacher was shown in a record filed in the criminal court of appeals in the case of Prank Teague sentenced to two years by a Roger Mille county jury for alleged theft of 500 pounds of coal from school district 23. The teacher Mrs Ed Haley testified that holes were bored in coal lumps notes inserted and the holes covered with coal dust. Teague's attorneys argued holes were made in mining. The court record did not reveal the defense attitude as to the notes. Judging by the experience of many farmers the hardest thing to raise on a farm is money.
