The American rigid airship Shenandoah returns to Lakehurst New Jersey after a 9000 mile voyage from Lakehurst starting October 7 and reaching across the United States. The ship carried no helium loss and maintained radio contact throughout the flight with strong amateur radio relay support.

Alfred Nowabbi a Choctaw Indian was found guilty of manslaughter in the first degree for the March 19 killing of his wife Nellie in Hugo. The jury returned the verdict in district court and the sentence is set for next Friday. Nowabbi contended the shooting was accidental.
Henry C. Wallace secretary of agriculture died at 4 p m in the naval hospital from toxemia following an operation. He was 58 and had earlier shown signs of improvement before the infection worsened. Mrs Wallace and daughter Ruth were at his bedside. President Coolidge declared official mourning and postponed engagements.
