Director Hynds testifies before the special Senate committee that the Veterans Bureau paid 64000 for architect plans for a Livermore California hospital and later found the drawings unsuitable. He says the payment occurred before his tenure and that Matthew O'Brien of Los Angeles sought an extra 13000 which was denied. County Court Liquor Charges End With One Guilty Verdict
