Seminole Indians Held in Grand Larceny Cases

Mokey Harjo and Will Powers charged with grand larceny were jailed last week. J. S. Hill discharged on disposing of mortgaged property. Harry Ferris jailed for introducing and selling whiskey after bond failure. Sam Minnix charged with grand larceny. James Neal discharged. John Alexander placed under a 3000 peace bond on Robert Tolberts application.

New Choctaw Nation Towns Survey Underway

Ardmore I T October 10 a survey party is mapping Hewitt and will move on to Dixie Loco Velma Alma and Harrisburg. Townsites consist of forty acres and surveying is progressing rapidly with more towns in the Chickasaw Nation to come once weather allows.

Cotton Fire Destroys 231 Bales in Madill Freight Yard

Fire sparked by locomotive sparks at Madill on October 18 destroyed 231 bales of cotton owned by Birge Forbes & Co of Sherman Texas. Loss estimated between 15 000 and 20 000 dollars and the fire was fully insured.

Ada Town Tax Collector Duties Ordinance 1902
