An incident reports a man described as Housevelt injuring himself with a revolver in the breast. The wound is stated as not serious. Police and medical personnel responded to the scene, and the man is under observation.
Col Theodore Roosevelt is shot and slightly wounded outside Hotel Gilpatrick Milwaukee as he proceeds to a speech. The assailant, John Schrenk of New York, is restrained by Martin and Capt Girard and hauled to police. Roosevelt continues to the auditorium and finishes his address after a brief hospital check.
Ada citizens note the modernization of local commerce as R E Haynes expands into a 7500 square foot store beside the Oklahoma State Bank. The article highlights new shelving, a delivery truck, extensive tool and gun departments, roofing supplies, leather goods, and a strong emphasis on square dealing and customer service.

State of Oklahoma Pontotoc County District Court notices Maud Lee Long to answer a petition filed by F. W. Maxwell by November 28, 1912 otherwise judgment will be rendered for $300 plus 6 percent interest and costs. The second item profiles W. W. The County convention meets with the Oakman Singing class on the 26th and 27th of this month and delegates should be elected. The state convention convenes at McAlester on November 1 to 3. Boston defeats New York 3 to 2 in ten innings to clinch the series. New York scored in the third and tenth, Boston answered with a seventh inning run and two in the tenth. Bedient started for Boston, Wood finished, holding the Giants to one run. Matteson Meyers and Cady were the Boston battery.
OK Cement Co has received a Studebaker freight wagon ordered through W. C. Rollow. The wagon is designed to haul heavy loads and its wide tires are said to benefit rather than injure the roads over which it passes.
