Dixon to preach at Boggy schoolhouse. Cotton picking hindered by rain. Walter Switch opens a new grocery, and J. W. Canedy runs a modern blacksmith shop. Canedy adds quick shoeing services.
In Ada Oklahoma Territory on Thursday around 11 30 pm Dr Threldkill of Allen demanded a room with a woman at Byrd hotel. Thrasher the proprietor called for Mamon Pruitt who aided. Threldkill drew a gun that jammed and Pruitt shot him wounding him in the stomach near the spine. Pruitt surrendered and is at examination while Threldkill was arrested. Tom Dodgin recovers a horse missing for two years after a man refused to advertise and hinted payment for the service.
The 4th quarterly conference of the Ada charge will convene Friday night at the church. All officials are urged to attend as the year’s work is reviewed and plans for next year made. Conference opens at 7 30 p m with Stewards Trustees Sunday school Superintendent and Epworth League presidents to report. J B McDonald P
