East Central plans massive new dormitory on campus edge
East Central State College outlines plans for a 442 bed dormitory near 10th Street and Stadium Drive. The huge four story structure includes a 570 seat dining hall, semi private rooms with baths, lounges and study areas, outdoor recreation space, and space for Greek housing. Construction could start mid December with occupancy planned for fall term 1966. The project, about 1.7 million dollars, would be financed by self liquidating bonds and reshapes campus roads and landscaping.

Ada Man to Study Priesthood in Belgium
Michael L. Chapman plans four years of graduate theology at Louvain University in Belgium to earn a religious education master’s and priestly ordination. A 1960 Ada High School and Cardinal Glennon College graduate, he will study French taught lectures and rely on American peers for support during the language transition. He travels Monday by plane, arriving in Belgium Tuesday morning.

Five Pontotoc County 4-H boys attended the State 4H Educational Conference at the Oklahoma City State Fair on September 27 and 28.
