The Ada Christmas parade with bands and costumes plus a circus will be held December 3. The Ada Chamber of Commerce and the Junior Chamber of Commerce sponsor the event staged by Nesbitt Producing Company of Cincinnati Ohio.
The East Central Forensic tournament opens with about 400 students from 27 schools, while Ada hosts its first Christmas circus with free admission, a parade led by Miss Barbara Fox, six bands, and Santa receptions before a 3:30 p.m. circus show featuring Dixie Lee and Bozo Don.
Caudle testified he earned 5000 in 1950 as a commission for arranging the sale of an airplane to an investigator for two New York men later convicted of tax fraud. He said the payment was approved by Attorney General McGrath and was made in connection with tax prosecutions at the Justice Department.

In Goodwell Oklahoma J A Mitchusson aged 80 and his wife 73 were found dead in their farm home. Health officials said they probably died within minutes of each other on Saturday night after likely food poisoning. A neighbor discovered the bodies.

In El Centro California William Edward Cook 23 is sentenced to death in San Quentin for the Seattle murder after multiple kidnap and murder convictions. Separately Ada Oklahoma police chase leads to arrest of Jim Turner for purse snatching as Oakie owner reports the pursuit. The federal transfer to California awaits court action and DOJ review.
An unoccupied car rolled from 713 North Beard in Ada while guests Ella Wheatley T A Ables and Charlene Downs were visiting Jennie Cornell. It slid 50 yards downhill, crossed a ditch on an eight inch water line and balanced on the pipe with one wheel on ground. Wrecker work took about 15 minutes. damage under $1. The car’s front frame dented but minor overall.
A public hearing by the Civil Aeronautics Authority on Central Airlines operations will be held in Oklahoma City on Monday December 3. Senator Kenneth S. Wherry of Nebraska, Republican Senate floor leader, died at 11 45 p m CST at George Washington Hospital. He had been ill for weeks with pneumonia and respiratory complications following recent surgery for an intestinal growth. Wherry was serving his second term and had a legal background with business interests.
Otis Howard operations manager for Oklahoma Gas and Electric Co. has been named director of the National Production Authority Engine and Turbine Division in Washington.
Wayne De Merritt of Del City jumped into a flaming gasoline truck to move it away from the fuel spill near two B 29 bombers at Tinker. Flames burned a wing and bomb bay door on one plane but were stopped by base fire crews. the driver survived with no injuries.
The local Air Force Reserve unit will meet Thursday at 7 20 PM. Meeting place is 210 South Broadway. Capt. Eugene A Merrill of Ada will instruct and M Sgt Shelby, liaison officer, will attend from Oklahoma City.
