Ada business leader R V Dixon was killed Friday afternoon in a highway crash two miles north of McKinney Texas while en route to a four state sales meeting in Dallas. Companion Joe Nalley of Wewoka also died and Tom R Moore of Wewoka along with T W White of Holdenville were injured. Dixon, who moved to Ada ten years ago to run a music and appliance business, was a valued civic worker.

Four cars were damaged in a collision at a street intersection near the old armory in Roff around 5 30 Wednesday afternoon. Virgil Etchison Roff lost control and rolled his car after being hit by Dutch Arms half a mile east of Harden City. Etchison’s car struck a parked Ed Johnson car now in Oklahoma City. Johnson’s car pushed into a second parked machine owned by B C Benton Ada. No serious injuries were reported.

B C King 62 pioneer attorney and oil holdings owner in the Fitts field died Sunday afternoon of a heart attack at his Kings Road home near Ada. Rev W L Blackburn officiated Tuesday at 3 pm. Survived by widow three daughters and two sons. King helped drill Ada area gas and oil fields and sold holdings to Carter Oil in 1934. He built a Georgian style home overlooking the valley.
