United Press reports from Washington on November 10 that Carranza waveringly offered to resign in favor of a convention chosen leader in Aguas Calientes and to be named to succeed Villa in command of the northern army, per a dispatch received by the Junta.
Oklahoma City November 11 Socialist gain over 1912 total vote is 11 116 per H M Sinclair secretary treasurer of the Oklahoma Socialist party He cites official county counts showing a total Socialist vote of 52 570 this year versus 41 424 in 1912 The 1914 vote marks a 112 percent gain since the 1910 governorship contest with gains in most counties though fifteen counties show a loss and one shows no change
A Bebee Oklahoma reader reports Albern Murray son of H I Murray, living west of Rebee, aged 11, picked 329 pounds of cotton in one day before sundown. He weighs 77 pounds. The letter boasts his feat over another reader's 83 pounds from the prior Thursday.
A plan to run a five barge fleet from St Louis to New Orleans and Calao Peru aims to tap the growing South American trade. From Calao, St Louis goods would reach Lima and much of the western Andes region, with operations expected to start in spring.
Mrs. Ivy McMillan reports W. B. Westcott is improving after a serious accident at Sweetwater Texas which fractured his left leg and broke his right arm. He was taken to his son’s home in Dallas for care. The Monterey Times of Toronto cites 1913 American investments in Canada at 636 904 000 dollars, up from 417 143 000 in 1911 and 279 075 000 in 1909.
St. Louis report says George Neeley a Tulsa Oklahoma traveling man shot and killed his wife Estelle Neeley in the Terminal Hotel and then died by his own hand. Mrs Neeley had planned to divorce him and marry a Tulsa resident who signed his love letters Bill.
The Ada company of the National Guard has received its equipment and stored it at the former Smith’s furniture building on Townsend Avenue, to be used as the armory. The issue includes six Springfield rifles, uniforms, overcoats, tents, and kitchen items, with shoes and some items pending arrival. John P. Crawford will command as captain, W. O. Pratt as first lieutenant, Ottie Lindsey as second lieutenant, and Frank Arnett as first sergeant, with other NCOs to follow. Lieutenant Thuis of the regular army assisted in final muster arrangements.

About 6 o clock Sunday afternoon Caesar Payne a negro was killed by another negro named Davis near Sasakwa Oklahoma on Little River after a general row among local Negroes where liquor was flowing.

They also tabled a resolution opposing the Reform School for boys at Pauls Valley and urged equal pay, three year teaching terms,March elections, equal franchise rights, and free textbooks. The group praised the Girls White Club movement in Oklahoma high schools and announced the next annual meeting will be held in Oklahoma City.
Washington reports that fears of foot and mouth quarantine extending to poultry and ruining Thanksgiving were dampened by Agriculture Department experts who said poultry catching the disease is possible but very unlikely.
