Latest returns indicate Republicans will control the House by about 20 seats and the Senate by 16. Majorities are slim enough to check their legislative agenda, ensuring some bipartisan constraint.
J N Smith's sister Mrs Ella Kirk of Honey Grove Texas and his brothers Earnest and Earl Smith of Spring Hill Texas and Ben Graves brother of Mrs Smith of Rising Star Texas attended the burial of Mrs Smith here Wednesday of last week.

Dr. T. R. Spangler of Ada and Miss Annie Laurie Cunningham of Ravenna wed at the Baptist church. Rev. Geo F Boyd officiated as Mendelssohn music marked the ceremony. The Katy Flyer carried the wedding party to their home as Mrs Spangler praised as upright and noble. best wishes for a long life together.
Guthrie Oklahoma yesterday afternoon near Cleo Springs in Woods county the bandit Bert Casey the king of southwestern outlaws and his chief lieutenant Jim Sims were killed by United States deputy marshals in a fierce battle. The deputies disguised as bandits tricked the gang and the staged capture led to the exchange of fire ending in Casey and Sims deaths. The mark of the operation was planned by U S Marshal Bill Fossett after a long string of escapes and near misses leaving only one member of the gang at large with rewards nearing nine thousand dollars.
In Lawton case for murder Casey and Sims were killed while associates hoped to release George Morgan and Mort Perkins. Authorities report plots were laid near Cleo Springs to secure liberty for the two men on trial.
Oklahoma results show Hon. Bill Cross winning with about 6000 votes over Republican B. S. McGuire. Democrats celebrate a Democratic edge in the state and a safe majority in Oklahoma's Legislature.
Last Tuesday night the Modern Woodmen of America reformed its local camp in the Harris building. Organizer Mayberry added about 15 members. New officers include Marvin L. Brown as Venerable Consul and F. K. Davenport as Worthy Adviser, with a full slate of officers and managers announced.
