OG&E opened the Lake Kongwe Recreation Area around the new 1309 acre lake feeding the Konawe steam station. The facility includes fishing, picnic areas, ramps, restrooms, and a designated swimming beach with most areas free to use. Access is allowed most weekends, with three restricted zones near the intake discharge dam and plant.
