L Z Oliver of Francis and oil men organized the Francis Oil and Gas Co with Okmulgee HQ. Leases totaling 600 plus acres were filed, with over 1,000 more by minors to follow. Drilling must start within ninety days near Francis, six miles northeast of Ada, as they pursue potential oil discovery with substantial backing.
