Meat theft suspects held after rural search
Deputy Cummings arrested Roll Short and T J Bailey at Tyrola on charges of stealing meat from farmer William Cook. A search of the Bailey home yielded identified hams shoulders and bacon. Indian Injured After Fall From Horse Near School House
Noah Hawkins, a young Indian, was found injured near the High Hill school house after his horse allegedly veered into trees while he rode home drunk. He lay immobile from Monday night until Wednesday morning, with his father taking him home for medical care. The horse was later found grazing nearby, saddle and bridle still on.
