Countywide bond sales are scheduled across communities with suppers and auctions on May 18 in Colbert and Steedman, an auction in Homer on May 24, and Lovelady school hosting a bond sale with a preceding program.
A statewide soil and water conservation program holds a terracing school at Murray College Tishomingo Thursday through Saturday. He attended Stillwater schools and Wentworth Military Academy, class of 1943. His widow Monica Bishop Berry is with her parents in Washington DC.
