Okmulgee pig catching contest shocks crowds in parade day
The Okmulgee chamber of commerce staged a new porkers event with twelve greased pigs released for a single day. Contestants from outside towns aimed to capture and return a pig to its crate. On the first day 175 entrants drew a 5 000 attendance crowd to the public square. Chicago reports dull egg and poultry markets with price notes and culling advice for farmers.
