Ada's parks began as a small community space after the Frisco railroad arrived. Glenwood Park on West Banks Street became a park with two modern pools fed by Byrds Mill spring and safety upgrades under state guidelines. The adjacent lake near the city, created in 1904, grew into a popular boating and fishing area, enhanced by Civilian Conservation Corps works in 1933. Today the lake hosts picnics, trails, and views as Ada plans future park development and the Byrds Mill Springs area remains a regional recreation hub.
