WEWOKA April 29 R E E Steigleder former president of the Seminole State bank pleaded not guilty to five counts of violating state banking laws. He was remanded to the county jail on 38000 bond. Owens former cashier and W E Jaurer president of National Bank of Keifer face embezzlement and insolvent bank charges with bonds set at 30000 and 2000 respectively. Steigleder returned from Brownsville after disappearing when the bank closed.

Pauls Valley Man Faces First Degree Murder Charge
Paums Valley May 5 A charge of first degree murder was to be filed today against George Carlton 35 in connection with a fatal shooting on the streets here late yesterday of James A Martin 60 a pioneer of south Oklahoma. County attorney Homer L Hurt said the shooting arose from a family feud of several years duration with Martin the husband of one of Carlton’s granddaughter and manager of a tale owned by his wife. No date for the preliminary hearing was set.
