Oklahoma City April 25 The Oklahoma House revived and adopted a resolution to submit to the people at the 1914 general election whether all state educational institutions should be continued After striking the State University and the A M College from the list by a 65 19 vote supporters say university and A M College towns betrayed them The measure also touched state funding cuts and Governor Cruce’s veto threats indicating a campaign to compel a public vote The plan would place all sixteen institutions on the ballot with yes and no votes and any majority to shut them down The special election option was defeated 45 41 prompting plans for a general vote and possible new bills to abolish select normals and district agricultural schools

Grandson of Mrs McCain Burned to Death in Richardson Fire
Sunday night the residence of L M Terry in Richardson Texas was destroyed by fire. An eight year old boy died and Mrs Terry and other family members suffered burns with injuries feared fatal but later reports showed some rally. Mrs Terry is daughter of Mrs L J McCain of this place and left for Richardson after the tragedy. N T Tucker living near the cemetery suffers erysipelas on the face and Mrs Tucker has been ill for months placing the family in distress.
