Brother of Adan Dies At Rockwall
Orville Snead learned Sunday morning that his brother D. F. Snead died Saturday night in Rockwall Texas after a severe stroke on December 24 1943 and a subsequent decline. The Sneads lived in Ada briefly in 1903 while D. F. Snead worked for Redlow Hardware. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. in Rockwall followed by burial. Last Thursday Orville attended the Dougherty funeral of G W Mccollum father of the late Maud V Snead.

Chester Lewis Returns to States After 26 Months Overseas
Mrs. Annie Pope reports her son Sgt. Chester Lewis is back in the United States after 26 months in the Southwest Pacific. Inducted June 8, 1942, he trained at Sheppard Field Texas then Lowrey Field Denver and Colorado Springs Army Air Base before sailing for overseas in December 1942. He previously worked for Clarksville Paper Co in Ada and hopes to be discharged soon from Madigan General Hospital Tacoma to visit Ada relatives.
