A brief heavy dust storm rolled into Ada on Wednesday afternoon from the Texas Panhandle and New Mexico, lowering visibility to a half mile and prompting residents to dust interiors. Temperatures cooled Thursday morning with readings in the 30s to 40s, while Oklahoma City and other points reported stronger winds up to 60 mph. Guymon logged 28 degrees, Ardmore and McAlester reached 70 degrees as fair weather returned.
