In Franklin County Louisiana on March 7 two deputy sheriffs Wesley Crain and Wiley Pierce were found slain and buried in swamp mud after raiding a moonshine still. Moonshiners John Murphy and Gideon Bester allegedly admitted the killings and led authorities to the burial site after an armed posse searched the woods.
