An official telegram reports 45000 prisoners captured and large stores of war material as Italians drive Austrians across the Piave. The offensive began Sunday with bridges destroyed except one and American airmen praised for bravery amid heavy artillery and river flooding.

In Washington on June 26 Provost Marshall General Crowder reports 124 000 draft registrants of both races summoned for July entrainment. The July total including last night s 220 000 and other calls reaches 367 961 the largest monthly draft since its start. Oklahoma to entrain 2000 colored July 16 20 for Camp Dodge Iowa.
