Couple Marries On Horseback At Stratford Rodeo
Jimmy Fleming and Tama Johnson of Omaha were wed last week in a ceremony staged in the Stratford Rodeo arena. An improvised altar stood center ring with white bows and ribbons as Rev. Don Newby officiated. The couple, in traditional cowboy and cowgirl attire, rode in on horses with the groom meeting the bride in Chicago five years ago at a national rodeo. Best man Jimmy Rutherford and maid of honor Mrs. Rutherford attended. Stratford Roundup Club saluted the couple as the band played My Blue Heaven. Fleming then returned to the rodeo and won the bull riding contest. They will live on the Fleming Ranch northwest of Ada.
