Omaha Neb July 21 The rush to register for homestead lands on the Rosebud reservation continues. Nearly a thousand persons were left at the Omaha depot when the regular train left for Bonesteck and Fairfax early Tuesday and another section was sent out.
G. B. Marshal traveling to Denison from the north Sunday had his hat checked when Will Demar, a Negro, snatched the check from the hat. Demar was arrested and jailed immediately. It is reported as the first such arrest of the crime in the area.

W D Vandiver was named temporary chairman and J P Nolen as temporary secretary as Folk forces set the pace. A clash over the temporary secretary and a proposed Byrnes candidacy revealed Folk strength and the field narrowed on Cook for secretary of state.
A St Louis corporation with $500 000 capital unites twenty Frisco land and immigration agents to promote southwestern migration. The firm plans to buy land, subdivide into small farms, and sell on easy terms, moving East settlers by train loads to colonize large tracts.
