Oklahoma Says 100000 Is Not Enough For Constitutional Convention

Guthrie Oklahoma July 12 Preliminary estimates by the Oklahoma districting board show the congressionally appropriated 100000 for the constitutional convention and its preliminaries and the required election will be insufficient. Secretary Chas H Filson says the board will proceed and rely on Congress for further funds. The Oklahoma provision is elastic unlike Arizona which fixes 150000 and assigns any excess to the state. Officials believe the Oklahoma wording would not prevent higher spending if needed, though Arizona explicitly foresees extra costs.
