John Higgins, a Oklahoma A and M college graduate, was rescued from 14 feet of water in Yost Lake by Gordon Burrows of Stillwater after five minutes underwater. He was brought here in critical condition with pneumonia and lung injuries, placed under an oxygen tent, and treated by Dr. R. E. Roberts of Stillwater.

Ada Man Dies After Motorcycle Crash in Ada
Walter Gibson an 80 year old Ada machine shop worker died at 5 pm Wednesday in a local hospital from injuries suffered Tuesday when his motorcycle went out of control on a gravel shoulder on Sulphur highway. He had two broken arms shoulder injuries head lacerations and chest injuries. Funeral arrangements were pending arrival of a sister from California. Survivors include widow a small daughter his father one brother J T Gibson and sister Ruth Gibson. Gibson was riding with a group when the mishap occurred. Police reported few other holiday weekend incidents and arrests.

McKeel Hearing Set For July 17

Pinkston Charged In Liquor Case
T L Pinkston was arrested by sheriff's deputies Tuesday night and charged with unlawful possession of liquor before County Judge Hoyt Driskill. Officers found 23 two pints of bonded liquor at his service station near the city limits on Highway 99. Pinkston was released on bond.
