Nine Finish Degree Work This Week
Nine students will finish their school work at East Central college this week. Eight of these students will receive their diplomas at the spring graduating service. All are majors in education, qualifying them for teaching. The nine are Eva Ruth Thompson of Nonawa. Air Cadet Bere LB Fieldon of Veterans Village in Ada. McFadden who came to East Central as an air corps cadet. John Gillespie who finishes his work this term. Eales in Physical Education Warner Hook Eales. and others who have held posts at East Central Journal and taught in area schools. The group includes future teachers of high school history and physical education, with plans to pursue further study at Oklahoma or Ole Miss next semester. Continued on Page 7. Gel. 8

W E Loman 79 died recently after a long illness in Shawnee. Funeral Friday at 2 PM at Dek Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. presiding. interment at the local cemetery. He moved from Cassville to Ada, later living in Shawnee and Oklahoma City. Survived by wife Lille Buck and five children, two stepchildren, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
