Barn Destroyed By Spectacular Wednesday Blaze
A hay barn owned by Theo Glover southwest of Latta was destroyed by fire on Wednesday. About 5500 bales of hay burned as Ada Fire Department and three Ro fs units battled the flames for six hours amid high winds. Cause attributed to a backfire from a pickup truck. Additional rural fires in Marion Roberson Francis and Pickett kept crews busy. A later blaze at Orval Bandy’s residence was blamed on careless smoking.
