They lived in Oklahoma and later Gaar Corner where they ran a grocery. Four children survive Manley Maddox Ada J Maddox Virgie Pennington Edith Jackson and Lavinia Cotton San Jacinto California.

Brown Spider Identified Near Stillwater Oklahoma
Specimens of a second poisonous spider in the United States were found in Oklahoma near Stillwater. The Brown Spider, Loxogeelese Reclusts, is likely common in the state and bites can cause painful, potentially serious wounds with slow healing. The species, about a quarter in size, is found in attics and basements and bites occur mainly when cornered.
