Posey father of Betty Lou Posey a 16 year old injured on October 20 on Highway 48 two miles north of Fittstown The defendants are G W Simon and the K S Flint Rig company Simon was driving the car that struck the girl as she waited for a school bus Posey seeks 15,000 for injuries 10,000 for nervous shock and 5,000 for attendant suffering Hospital doctor and drug bills are cited as paid by the defendants.

Not Guilty Plea Made Wednesday in Drunken Driving Case

In St Louis February 16 the National Retail Credit Association reported a nationwide decline in collections and total sales for January across 43 cities, citing a general drop in employment. Credit sales rose by half a percent. Compared to January last year, collections fell 25 percent and total sales 7.5 percent. The survey covered 14,590 stores with 15 cities up in collections, 22 in credit sales, and 21 in total sales. An March uptick in retail activity was forecast. Ada Man Dies In Comanche County Crash
Two highway accidents in Ponca City county this week involved twelve persons and claimed one life. J B Pete Pruett of Comanche died Thursday morning after being injured Tuesday afternoon seven miles southwest of Ada on highway 12. Eight others were hospitalized Wednesday night in Ada, with several in critical condition. The Bridwell car crash near Ada injured F A Bridwell of Ada and three year old Shirley Rae Bridwell, along with J D Woolard of Fitzsburg, all seriously hurt. Hospital reports described multiple fractures and severe injuries. witnesses said Woolard was driving north and Bridwell south as the two cars collided head on.
