Wounded Man Held After Bank Robbery in Duncan
Two suspects in the Loco State Bank robbery were captured at Maud Oklahoma. Both men were wounded and identified as Elmer Hanson and Buck McGowan. Three others were arrested on suspicion. A 13 ton nitroglycerine blast at the Thompson Hardware magazine two miles west of Borger Texas killed Melvin Norris 37 of Uncas Oklahoma a driller. The explosion cracked windows damaged buildings and wiped a hill side creating a 200 foot crater. Injuries to several people were reported and the final loss is expected to exceed initial estimates.
