The other House bill by Ed King of Coal County allows a recordholder who bid in property at resale to reclaim it by paying the full delinquent taxes and special fees.
Oklahoma Governor Murray announced he will withhold further highway commission nominations until the senate highway investigating committee completes its report. He argued a de facto commission exists and a lapse in government cannot occur, criticizing Attorney General King and officials Lew Wentz and Frank Carter as part of the dispute.

Mrs. Rotha Smith former Jackson county treasurer was convicted of embezzling 10493 02 and faces five years in prison and a fine equal to the amount stolen. Sentencing was postponed to Monday after the verdict and a motion for a new trial will be filed. She is the wife of Cecil Smith an Altus businessman and had served a prior two year term as treasurer during 1929 31.
The agriculture committee reported the domestic allotment farm relief plan to the Senate after hearings. The revised bill limits coverage to wheat and cotton, drops several commodities, and imposes a processing tax on mills and buyers. Most senators doubt passage this session amid Hoover veto fears.
President elect Roosevelt survived a gun attack in Bayfront Park Miami as Giuseppe Zangara fired five shots. Mayor Anton Cermak of Chicago was wounded in the abdomen, with several others including a New York officer and Miami residents injured as Secret Service restrained the assailant and Roosevelt visited victims.

The statement defends killing a bank robber and notes a standing reward of up to 5000 dollars for dead robbers, drawing a parallel to Texas horse thieving being stamped out by hanging thieves.

G T James a Greer county convict and bank robber serving 35 years was stabbed to death in the McAlester state prison yesterday. Investigators questioned Pat Hendrix serving 12 years from Rogers county for robbery.
