Aircraft and Engine Enterprises of Moore will move to two hangars at Mustang Field this week. The firm will rent the hangars to re condition and rebuild airplane engines up to 300 horsepower. The company owned by Roy A. Good and Edgar Whittle will also operate the field as a municipal airport.

Oklahoma City Tinker Air Force Base today opened its Operations Tornado Alley a new tornado warning system with mobile equipment at five sites in Oklahoma and Texas. The mobile squadron will gather data to watch for tornadoes and warn residents in paths of twisters. It will operate until June 15 with stations at Fort Sill Vance Enid Amarillo Reese Lubbock Connally and Waco. Lt. Col. E J Fawbush supervises the project.

Bennie Ownbey of Ada Route 5 was fined $10 in fine and costs after appearing before Peace Justice C W Floyd on charges of unauthorized driving to the left of the center line. His 1951 Chevrolet pickup collided head on with a 1951 Chevrolet driven by Sally McWhirter of Ada Route 5. no injuries were reported.
Five room residence of Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Heck and their five year old son burned completely after an early morning blaze. The family escaped as the roof collapsed. three quilts saved. Neighbors aided but flames were too intense. The Heck gas station on the same lot was spared due to wind direction. Losses included new stove and refrigerator with limited insurance. Cause under investigation, believed to have started in the kitchen.
